Screen Talk: A new Neighbour for Mr Smith

Tinseltown Insider

Margot Robbie (Pan Am, Neighbours) (pictured) will star opposite Will Smith in Focus. Crazy, Stupid, Love directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa will direct. The script is about a con-man who becomes romantically involved with a novice but is then thrown off his game when a former flame shows up.

From vampires to outer space

The onscreen daughter of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) in the final Twilight movies, Mackenzie Foy, is in final negotiations to join the all-star cast of Christopher Nolan's sci-fi movie Interstellar. The cast already includes Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway.

Rose by another name is Grace

Hollywood is a-buzz with the prospect of Rose Byrne taking on the role of Grace, dutiful assistant to Jamie Foxx's Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks character in Sony's star-studded remake of Annie. Quvenzhané Wallis plays Annie with Cameron Diaz signed to play Miss Hannigan, the story's orphanage baddie.

We need to talk about Kevin

Kevin Costner is in talks to star in Midnight Delivery. He will play a father who attempts to save his estranged daughter from a Colombian gang by trafficking cocaine to London on a midnight flight. The Universal studio-backed thriller is being produced by Guillermo del Toro.

Dumb duo get a new suit

There's a legal spat hampering the upcoming sequel to the 1994 comedy Dumb and Dumber – with Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels returning. Red Granite Pictures filed a lawsuit against producers Brad Krevoy and Steve Stabler to exclude them. They're fighting to be involved in Dumb and Dumber To.

Jacobs meets Costner's lawyer

Speaking of Costner, Community star Gillian Jacobs has been cast opposite him in Black and White. The latest drama from Mike Binder (The Upside of Anger), the script centres on an attorney (Costner) who battles for custody of his bi-racial granddaughter. Jacobs plays the girlfriend of Costner's best friend.
