If you come to Justin Lin's Fast & Furious 5 in search of some substance, then more fool you. But if you come for a dumb and enjoyable action flick, you won't be disappointed.
The core cast of the original return again for this souped-up fourth sequel about petrolhead heist-pullers in Rio: Paul Walker hangs around dudily like a forgettable Keanu Reeves, while Vin Diesel just seems happy to have a job again. But the real star of this instalment is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, as the hyper-tough FBI agent on their tail. In the first four F&Fs, the set-pieces were all car-based, but now the cars are just part of a broader action canvas. A sixth film is in the works. I'd watch it.
