DVD: Frozen (15)
Friday 22 October 2010
Three insufferable teenagers – Dan (Kevin Zegers), Joe (Shawn Ashmore) and Parker (Emma Bell) – slope off to the mountains for a spontaneous skiing trip.
They warble on about Jaws and Return of the Jedi and rib each other about relationships: Joe and Parker are dating, Dan appears jealous. But not in an interesting way. They try to sneak in one more ski run, but it ends in... wait for it... freezing horror. The trio are trapped on a ski lift dangling high above the frozen mountainside, which is inhabited by peckish wolves. Adam Green's chiller (sorry) doesn't lack suspense (sorry, again), but it's difficult to warm to the leads.
