Big Bang Theory cast talk about getting emotional as they near finale

Kaley Cuoco was supported by her The Big Bang Theory co-stars as she shared an emotional tribute to the show on its one year anniversary.

Earlier this week, Cuoco, who played Penny on the long-running comedy series, took to Instagram to celebrate one year passing since the show’s finale aired on 16 May 2019.

A year ago today we aired our BBT series finale,” Cuoco wrote alongside a picture of the cast sat around eating Chinese food in the show’s final scene.

“People ask me every day, was it hard to move on? Was I sad? Happy? How could I do anything else after? How would it compare? Do I miss it?

She continued: “The truth is , the show changed my life in 100 different ways and no matter where my career takes me, I will always owe it to this show and the brains behind it. ‘Never forget where you came from, and never take your eyes off where you’re heading.’”

The nostalgic post prompted an outpouring of love from Cuoco’s former co-stars, with Mayim Bialik, who played Amy on the sitcom, commenting: “I miss us!”

Meanwhile, Kunal Nayyar, the actor who portrayed Raj, wrote: “Miss you sis.”

First airing in 2007, The Big Bang Theory ran for twelve seasons and starred Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki as physicists who share an apartment.
