Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai and Frightened Rabbit are set to headline a pro-Scottish independence gig before the referendum on 18 September.
The bands will perform at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall for the concert, titled “A Night For Scotland”, four days before the vote takes place.
Other acts booked to appear include comedienne Elaine C Smith, singer-songwriter Eddi Reader and Deacon Blue’s Lorraine McIntosh and Ricky Ross.
Indie rockers Frightened Rabbit, who come from the Scottish town of Selkirk, urged everyone to get involved, register to vote and “come along to enjoy a brilliant night for Scotland”.
Mogwai also voiced their support for the Yes Scotland campaign. “In just a few weeks we will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to take our place on the global stage and show the world what we are made of,” said the Glaswegian band.

Promoter Tommy Sheppard told The Scotsman that the gig will involve “a small segment of Scotland’s artistic and creative community are getting together to prepare to move up another gear in the final days before the people of Scotland make the most important decision of their lives”.
Tickets for the gig on 14 September went on sale today, priced at £15, while anyone wanting to vote on Scottish independence must register by midnight on Tuesday.
Last month, over 200 celebrities including Mick Jagger, Judi Dench, Helena Bonham Carter, Cliff Richard, Tom Daley, Stephen Hawking and Simon Cowell signed an open letter encouraging Scottish voters to remain part of the United Kingdom.
