Michel Gondry's 2004 film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is the latest to get a television adaptation.

Anonymus content - the entertainment company behind award-winning series Mr Robot - will produce the reboot which is in its very early stages of development, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original film, written by Gondry, Charlie Kaufman and Pierre Bismuth stars Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet as a wayward couple who decide to erase each other from their respective memories; the trio won an Oscar for Adapted Screenplay and earned Winslet a Best Actress nomination.

With a writer yet to be confirmed, it's reported that Zev Borow (Chuck) has been approached and is nearing a deal.

Other films currently in the process of being rebooted as TV shows include The Departed, Let the Right One In and The Lost Boys.

Gondry - who has an extensive list of music video credits to his name - most recently directed Microbe & Gasoline which stars Amélie actor Audrey Tatou.
