Nickelodeon is launching a 90s nostalgia channel called The Splat and it’s going to have all of your favourite toons
Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Ren & Stimpy and much, much more

When we brought you news that Nickelodeon was looking to bring back some of its old hit cartoons from the 90s/early 2000s, we thought it would just be a brief run or some sort of nostalgia week.
But no, the network is going full force, creating a new channel called The Splat that looks to be showing nothing but awesome cartoons.
They're keeping it mysterious at the moment, with social media accounts for the network only teasing a few details, but the 90s branding is on point - just look at those squiggles and triangles!

Judging by the first trailer and images, it looks like we can definitely expect Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, Hey Arnold!, CatDog, The Wild Thornberrys, Angry Beavers and Rocko’s Modern Life to feature, though Doug is absent, along with Recess (which was actually an ABC show).
A couple of key questions remain:
Will live shows like Clarissa also be revived?
Will any new episodes of the cartoons be created as a Nickelodeon exec previously hinted?
We’ll keep you posted when Nickelodeon stops being so damn coy.
