For election night, US late night host Stephen Colbert - an open critic of Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign - decided to host a special live episode.

The creators of Democracy’s Series Finale: Who’s Going To Clean Up This Sh*t? probably thought their opening gambit was a hilarious take on Trump: a cartoon depicting a jealous Trump wanting to get vengeance on Obama after being humiliated at the White House Correspondents dinner.

Unfortunately, the show’s writers probably didn’t predict they would be heavily mocking the now future President of the United States.

For those interested in the speech from Obama, you can watch the previous POTUS roast Trump in the below video.

The day before the election, Colbert was joined by Jon Stewart on his pre-election show, the pair urging viewers to vote in the election while warning against a Trump presidency.

“Are you serious? That angry tax-and-draft dodging little orange groundhog is running for president?” Stewart said on the show. Watch the sketch here.
