Australian model and Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr is supporting the fight against climate change by becoming the global ambassador for Earth Hour, WWF revealed on Friday.
Now in its fourth year, Earth Hour is an international movement which encourages individuals and businesses around the world to turn off their lights for one hour on March 26 at 8:30pm local time in a bid to raise awareness about climate change.
In 2010, 128 countries took part in Earth Hour and world famous monuments such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Empire State Building in New York dimmed their lights in support.
The 27-year-old Kerr has previously undertaken charitable work for Wildlife Warriors International. In a statement released by WWF regarding Earth Hour, she said, "Each of us has a responsibility for the sustainability of our planet and each of us can make a difference if we choose to do so."
