Training up your own customisable dragon to compete in tournaments sounds like a hoot, especially for the under-10s; distressingly, this movie tie-in is as shallow and flawed as it is pretty. The combat is repetitive but also likely to prove deeply frustrating, and while the two-player option is fairly diverting, it’s a great pity you cannot take it online. Still, breathing fire is always entertaining, so there’s always that when you get bored with the actual gameplay.
