Friday's highlights comprise the Bangkok Auto Show in Thailand, the Joburg art fair in Johannesburg, an exhibit that mixes fashion and royalty in London, among other events.

Bangkok International Auto Show

The Bangkok show draws over 1.6 million visitors and showcases Asian brands from growth markets such as India, Malaysia and China. Low-cost vehicles abound, and there is an adjoining motorcycle and yachting display and "Miss Motorshow" contest.

The Enchanted Palace

Kensington Palace will be taken over by British designers including Vivienne Westwood, who have reimagined the royal residence's rooms and created dresses for them to illustrate the stories of the princesses who lived there.
