1. Ryan Grant - 4/10
Really struggled to cope with the unexpected power in the scrum by the Brumbies pack. Failed to set the platform for the Lions which cost them dear.
2. Rory Best - 2
Suffered a nightmare at the line-out, missing his jumper on three occasions and being penalised throwing in crooked a further three times. It was his inconsistent line-outs that cost him an original place, and how Dylan Hartley must be kicking himself for his stupidity.
3. Matt Stevens - 4
Equally as ineffective as Grant, and was practically non-existent in the loose. Went off after 57 minutes when the entire front-row was replaced, but the switch came too late for the Lions.
4. Ian Evans - 5
Looked a little lost at times playing in a pack on the back-foot - something he is not used to with Wales and the Ospreys. Near-impossible to have an impact at the line-out with Best's erratic throwing.
5. Richie Gray - 5
Has disappointed throughout the tour, as many had tipped him to feature in the Test side. Will now be lucky to be named on the bench, as he again did not have an impact on the game today.
6. Sean O'Brien - 5
Needed a big game to force his way in ahead of Tom Croft, but he was unable to perform to his best when the forwards failed to have the stranglehold on the game that they have had throughout the tour. Picked up a knock early on and left after 57 minutes.
7. Justin Tipuric - 5
Had an unusually quiet game considering what he is capable of. Perhaps being named in the side took away any chance of starting the Test and equally his confidence.
8. Toby Faletau - 6
Kept up his work-rate till the very end which is a credit to him, but did nothing to suggest that Warren Gatland will pick him in front of Jamie Heaslip. Could feature from the bench, as he was one of the Lions better players today on a disappointing night.
9. Ben Youngs - 5
Had very little quick ball, and looked visibly frustrated with the Lions inability to string together attacking phases. May well miss out on the Test replacements to Conor Murray.
10. Stuart Hogg - 6
Probed for any kind of gap, but is clearly not an international fly-half. Playing against a Combined Country side is one thing, playing against the Super XV leaders is another, and he didn't have a plan B to cope with the Brumbies outstanding defence.
11. Shane Williams - 5
Saw very little ball in his surprise return. Will be disappointed to end his Lions career with a loss in a mid-week game. Also featured in the last Lions mid-week game defeat to the New Zealand Maori in 2005.
12. Billy Twelvetrees - 4
Looked out of his depth, which is hardly surprising given his inexperience at international level and that he only arrived in Australia 24 hours ago along with Barritt and Williams. Physically dominated in nearly every collision.
13. Brad Barritt - 4
You wouldn't have known he was on the pitch, and it was demonstrated in the first half as he had just two tackles, no carries and one pass to his name. Looked unfit and lacking match-practice as he failed to make any impact on the match.
14. Christian Wade - 5
Tried to make an impression as he came in-field searching for the ball, but it was hard for him to do anything against such a well-drilled defence. Looked to inject pace whenever he good, but just didn't get enough ball or space to create anything.
15. Rob Kearney - 6
Was under pressure and handled himself well considering his team were going backwards. Showed his love for claiming the high-ball, and the Lions look to be in safe hands should anything happen to their Mr Dependable Leigh Halfpenny.
