Twitter users wanting to win themselves a 'Droid' smartphone are tweeting the reasons why they should win the device using today's number one topic on Twitter, "#IWantADroid."

Places two to four in Twitter's most talked about topics are taken by the memes "#frequentlyaskedquestions," "#faq" and "#femalesneedto" on the morning of December 16.

"[S]orry to report that Indians legend RHP Bob Feller died this evening at 915PM ET of acute leukemia. He will be missed. Icon" tweet microbloggers on hearing the news that American Major League Baseball pitcher Bob Feller passed away on December 15.

His last name ("Feller") and the term "RIP Bob" are both in the chart trending in fifth and tenth places respectively.

The name of animated movie " Finding Nemo" is in sixth place, soon-to-be released film Water for "Elephants" is in seventh place and American comedy " Pootie Tang" is in eighth place.

An update for social media iPad 'newspaper' application "Flipboard" has been released and microbloggers are tweeting about the enhancements.

"Flipboard has Google Reader functionality now - pretty cool" and "Loving the new Flipboard. Even faster to dive into posts and articles than before. Great user experience" tweet people.
