iPhone 6S owners complain about 'burning hot' home buttons

The iPhone 6S has been hit with complaints from owners due to a fault that causes the phone's home button to become 'burning hot'.

The fault in Apple's latest iPhone model also causes phones to turn off for seemingly no reason.

The only apparent way to solve the overheating problem is to carry out a hard reset on the device.

The fault has been discussed on Apple's support forums at length, with many users describing similar problems.

One user wrote: "I have had my phone since Friday, and this morning when I woke up the home button was burning hot and the screen is just black."

"I went to bed with it working just fine last night, plugged it in to charge, and now it won't work."

"Nothing else is hot, not even the charging port, just the home button is on fire."

Technical problems often face early adopters of new tech, as iPhone 6 owners learned after they got their new phones last year.

People who got their phones shortly after it launched reported that their large, thin phones were bending in their pockets.

Apple has not yet responded to media requests for comment, but this problem only seems to be affecting a small number of users.
