German Douglas Adams fans on Twitter are celebrating Towel Day on the morning of May 25 with one of Twitter's top topics and the German word for towel ("Handtuch").

Towel Day is celebrated each year on May 25 as a tribute to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy author Douglas Adams.

Microbloggers are outraged that the Danish government has banned the importation of New Zealand’s famous breakfast spread Marmite because it is "fortified with added vitamins."

"Cant believe they've banned #marmite in denmark for having too many vitamins stupid danish bastards," "Denmark banned marmite. The brits are now worried that it might spread..." and "So Denmark has banned #marmite. That's enough grounds for a declaration of war in my book!" tweet outragedTwitter users.

The top three hashtags in Twitter’s most talked about topics list are "#wecanttalk," "#dospalabras" (Spanish for "two words") and "#incollege."

Twitter users can't get enough of "Alex Gaskarth," the lead singer of American punk band All Time Low. The singer is "is hot and sexy" and "more beautiful without a shirt" tweet microbloggers.

Former Cleveland Cavaliers coach "Mike Brown" will become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers according to Twitter users.

The Spanish phrases "CALLATE SIRVIENTA" and "Situación Sentimental" are in fourth and ninth places on the chart.

Twitterers are talking about ice hockey’s "biggest prize" with ninth place term "Stanley Cup Finals."
