A fire broke out at a hotel near Heathrow airport on Monday, leading to the evacuation of around 200 guests.

The blaze began at 4.12pm and 60 firefighters and eight fire engines took two hours to bring it under control.

Staff and guests fled after the fire started in a sauna in the Radisson Blu Edwardian hotel in Bath Road.

The ground floor sauna was alight but the cause of the fire is not yet known, a spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said.

No one is thought to have been injured in the blaze.
