Singer Lee Ryan charged with attack on fiancee

Boy band singer Lee Ryan has been charged with assault after allegedly hitting his fiancee, police said today.

The Blue star is accused of attacking Samantha Miller, 26, the mother of his young son, Rayn.

The incident is understood to have taken place as the couple drove through London's West End on Wednesday night. Ryan was charged the next day.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Lee Ryan, 27, self-employed, of Henley-on-Thames, is due to appear on bail at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court on Friday August 27 charged with common assault."

Ryan's spokesman told The Sun: "Lee 100% denies common assault. He will be fighting these charges."
