Obituary: Kenneth Donlan
Kenneth Donlan, journalist, died Chislehurst, Kent, 23 May, aged 66. Became Britain's first national newspaper ombudsman in 1989, working for the Sun. Joined the Sun as news editor in 1971 after 25 years on the Daily Mail working in London and Manchester. Appointed editor of the News of the World in 1980, returning to the Sun a year later as managing editor.
