Dentists to be sentenced for charges scam
Two dentists will be sentenced today for their part in a £130,000 fraud against patients and the NHS.
Ikhlaq Hussain, 38, and Jaspal Singh Bachada, 37, will appear before a judge at Birmingham Crown Court this afternoon to be sentenced for conspiracy to defraud.
Hussain, of College Road, Alum Rock, Birmingham, was found guilty by a jury at the court in July, while Bachada, of Redlake Drive, Stourbridge, pleaded guilty before the hearing.
Both men were charged following a complex inquiry by the NHS Counter Fraud Service into allegations that patients at a dental practice in Droitwich, Worcestershire, were tricked into paying inflated charges.
