A woman has been arrested after she drove over her boyfriend three times because he refused to take her to McDonald's.

The incident took place in the town of Kingsport, Tennessee last Wednesday and left 41-year-old Santiago Hernandez with abrasion to his arms and back.

According to a police report published by the Smoking Gun, Crystal Greer Brooks and her boyfriend were driving home after spending the day drinking when, shortly after midnight, the 33-year-old demanded her boyfriend pull into a drive-thru McDonald's.

When Mr Hernandez refused, she is said to have ordered him to stop their Chevrolet truck and let her drive. As Brooks slid into the passenger seat, Mr Hernandez was left standing in front of the truck.

According to the police report, Brooks then deliberately drove the vehicle at Mr Hernandez, who fell onto the bonnet and then onto the ground. Brooks then allegedly drove the car over Mr Hernandez another two times.

Officer Dennis Hickman was called to the scene and observed that Mr Hernandez, who speaks very little English, was suffering from wounds consistent with being dragged by a motor vehicle.

Brooks denied the allegations, claiming Mr Hernandez had jumped onto the bonnet of the car himself and fallen off. Officer Hickman decided the evidence did not support that story, so arrested Brooks and took her to the city jail.

Mr Hernandez was issued with a domestic violence form and transported to a friend’s house.
