Three university football players were stabbed on Tuesday on the campus of Morgan State University in Maryland in which at least one person is reported to be seriously injured, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Homicide investigators are looking into the incident, which occurred around 2 pm on Tuesday near the school's football field and a nearby residence hall, police reported. One of the men was stabbed in the chest and was rushed to the hospital. Two others were injured.

Police say a fourth person was involved, and could be the suspect in the stabbing. The investigation is on-going and authorities are working with Morgan State officials.

Tuesday's stabbing is the second stabbing on the Morgan State campus in the past five days and the third event that attracted police attention, the Sun reports.

A male student stabbed his roommate on Friday inside one of the school's dormitories and police were called to an on-campus party that drew about 1,200 people after fights broke out.
