London - A member of a Sudanese opposition group has claimed Iraqi MiG-23 fighters are being used by the Sudanese air force against southern rebels, writes Adel Darwish. General Abdul Rahman Said, former chief of staff of the Sudanese army and a leading figure in Legitimate Leadership - an opposition group working in exile - said in an interview in Al-Hayat that he had supplied Egypt with evidence that Iran had refitted Iraqi planes which fled to Iran during the Gulf war.
