Matt Prior has been passed fit to keep wicket for England in the third Test against West Indies at Edgbaston today.

The Sussex man had been suffering from an eye infection, prompting England to put Steve Davies on standby last night.

But Surrey-man Davies has now been released and will dash back to Horsham to take part in the ongoing Championship match against Sussex.

Prior has played 39 consecutive Tests, not missing a match since he flew home from the Caribbean during the 2009 tour for the birth of his child and skipped the Barbados Test.
