Stephen Parry claimed his first five-wicket haul in one-day cricket to help Lancashire beat Surrey in the Yorkshire Bank 40 Group B at Old Trafford. The left-arm spinner claimed five for 17 as Lancashire, who at one point were 59 for 5, took a seven-run win, the county's first YB40 win of the season.

Adam Lyth's unbeaten half-century carried Yorkshire to a five-wicket win over the Unicorns in a close match at Chesterfield. Rich Pyrah took three for 34 as Yorkshire restricted their hosts to 189 for 9, Aneurin Norman top-scoring with 38 not out from number nine.

Peter Trego and Arul Suppiah helped Somerset to their third win from three games as they beat Middlesex by six wickets with 25 balls to spare at Taunton. Middlesex were held to 252 for 9 after they lost the toss, with seamer Steve Kirby claiming four wickets and leg spinner Max Waller taking three.

Chris Dent hit the highest score so far this season to power Gloucestershire to a seven-run win over Group C rivals Glamorgan. Dent, whose previous top score in List A cricket was 36, finished 151 not out after hitting 17 boundaries and three sixes in a 113-ball knock.
