German newspaper Bild have given Arsenal and Germany star Mesut Ozil their worst possible rating for his performance in the 2-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund.

Ozil was widely criticised for his part in the Gunners' defeat and earned just 4/10 in The Independent's ratings, the worst score from any player on either team.

But the German paper have gone a step further, giving Ozil six - while that might seem like a high rating Bild operate a different system than is familiar to British fans.

The paper ranks from one to six with one being 'world class' and six representing a player who 'didn't earn his money'.

A score of two is strong, three average, four sufficient and five weak.

Kieran Gibbs, Danny Welbeck and Wojciech Szczesny were the highest scorers, both with three, while five players - Laurent Koscielny, Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Alexis Sanchez - all scored fives.

Bild were obviously impressed with Dortmund's performance as Ciro Immobile, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kevin Grossgreutz all scored one, and no player dropped below a two.
