Dynamo Kiev given three-match stadium ban after fans charged over racist attacks during Chelsea match

A section of Dynamo Kiev fans attacked four black men during a Champions League tie against Chelsea

Uefa has imposed a three-match stadium ban on Dynamo Kiev fans after offences during the Champions League match with Chelsea last month which included racist behaviour.

A video released after the 0-0 draw on 20 October documented four black men being attacked by Kiev fans, with a group of white men seen trying to punch and kick them as they fled the stands at the Olympic Stadium.

Football Against Racism in Europe [Fare] released the footage publicly due to the shocking nature of it, as well as pass it on to Uefa in order to take action against the club.

The European governing body have now announced that charges have been brought against the Ukrainian club for racist behaviour, crowd disturbances and blocking stairways during the match.

Uefa’s sanctions include Kiev having to play their next three European matches in an empty stadium, although only two matches will be made to be served with the third suspended for three years which will be triggered in the event of further offences.

Kiev have also been fined €100,000.

A Uefa statement read: "Dynamo Kiev has been ordered to play their next three Uefa competition matches as host club behind closed doors. The third match is suspended for a probationary period of three years."
