Martin O'Neill, the Celtic manager, will again be able to call on Neil Lennon for tomorrow's tricky Scottish Premier League trip to Aberdeen after suspension.

The midfielder returns after missing the Scottish Cup victory over Rangers last weekend but O'Neill still has a selection problem to consider.

Alan Thompson is suspended while Stanislav Varga, Didier Agathé, Jackie McNamara and Bobo Balde have been struggling with various injuries this week and he will delay deciding his side until the last minute.

Rangers, whose attempts at bringing Barry Ferguson back to the club from Blackburn may depend on Birmingham's Robbie Savage completing his move to Ewood Park, will be without striker Shota Arveladze because of a calf injury for the visit of Dunfermline today.

Chris Burke rejoins the squad, however, following illness and Peter Lovenkrands is also back in the reckoning despite a thigh problem. Thomas Buffel, their new £2.5m signing from Feyenoord, could make his first start.
