The Champions League draw takes place this week to determine the eight groups for this season’s competition, with Leicester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City set the discover their European fate.

With Leicester taking to the Champions League for the first time, all eyes will be on who the reigning Premier League champions are placed with, and after winning the title last season, the Foxes will go straight into pot one alongside six other league winners and defending champions Real Madrid.
City of course need to beat Steaua Bucharest in their remaining play-off second leg, though that should be a given as they head into the home leg with a 5-0 advantage.
With Pep Guardiola at the helm, City will harbour realistic ambitions of improving on last season’s semi-final appearance in their pursuit of European glory.

The Champions League group stage draw takes place at 17:00 BST [18:00 CET] on Thursday 25 August in Monaco.

When is the Europa League draw?
The Europa League group stage draw takes place at 12:00 BST [13:00 CET] on Friday 26 August in Monaco after the final play-off fixtures have been completed on Thursday night. Manchester United and Southampton will both go into the draw, with other teams already confirmed including Athletic Bilbao, Inter Milan and Schalke.
West Ham can join them as the third Premier League club providing they beat Astra Giurgiu on Thursday.
