It's been a fantastic year already for UFC fans and 2016 promises to get even better during the summer when the organisation celebrates a landmark event at UFC 200. All signs point towards this being the biggest night in the UFC's history, with a new venue and blockbuster night of fights rumoured with the likes of Conor McGregor, Ronda Rousey and even a returning George St-Pierre thought to be lined up.

Whilst the rumour mills turn, here is everything you need to know about this historic event coming up this summer:

When is it?

The event will take place on July 9th during International Fight week which starts on July 4th. There will also be two other fight cards that week, a UFC Fight Night on the 7th and the UFC TUF 24 finale on the 8th.

Where is it?

UFC 200 will be the first-ever UFC event to take place at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The T-Mobile is a new multi-purpose venue on the famous Las Vegas strip and is just a stones throw away from the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The new venue should hold around 20,000 fans on fight night.

How do I watch it in the UK?

BT Sports will hold the TV rights for the UFC until the end of July meaning that the event will be broadcast live BT Sports like all other UFC events that have gone before it. That could all change in July though with Sky rumoured to be interested in making a bid.

How do I get a ticket?

There has been no official word on when tickets are being sold, however, it would be wise to keep an eye on the UFC ticketing page to stay in the know. Like every UFC event, tickets will go on sale to UFC Fight Club members two days before they are put on general sale. If you are going to join up, this would be the year to do so.

Who will be fighting?

No fights have been announced but the UFC have promised to go all out on putting on their biggest fight card ever. As many as four UFC titles could be on the line that evening and if the UFC are going to surpass the magnitude of UFC 100 they are sure to have a bill featuring their biggest stars including Conor McGregor. The Irishman as been 99% confirmed as being involved with UFC President Dana White last week saying:

“In this business, it has to burn. It has to be a desire inside you to fight. Conor McGregor is a perfect example. This guy’s going to turn around and fight on UFC 200 again. If you don’t have that desire you simply shouldn’t fight.”

Five big fights we could see on the main card at UFC 200 are:

Main Event – UFC Featherweight Title

Conor McGregor (c) vs Franke Edgar

Co-Main Event – UFC Welterweight Title

Robbie Lawler (c) vs George St-Pierre

UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title

Miesha Tate (c) vs Ronda Rousey

UFC Lightweight Title

Rafael Dos Anjos (c) vs Nate Diaz

Anderson Silva vs Tim Kennedy

Everything for the minute is just speculation but speaking to the UFC officials they are quietly confident that UFC 200 will be the greatest night in the organisation's short history.
