Martin Adams, the three-time BDO world champion, was dumped out of this year's competition in round one by 18-year-old Dutchman Jimmy Hendriks.
Adams, the winner in 2007, 2010 and 2011, lost 3-2 and was in tears as he left the oche. He said: "My doubles were crap. That was absolute rubbish. In this game, if you don't hit your doubles, then you won't win at all. I can't dress it up any other way."
