Racing: Spencer loses appeal against ban
Jamie Spencer has failed in his attempt to have a three-day ban, handed out by the Salisbury stewards on 31 August for careless riding, overturned by the Horseracing Regulatory Authority disciplinary panel. He also forfeited his £500 deposit for an insubstantial appeal.
Spencer, already serving a suspension, can ride at Leopardstown tomorrow as there are Group One races. Ouija Board, his mount in the Irish Champion Stakes, will not now face Hurricane Run, who heads for Longchamp.
