Huddersfield have just one remaining injury doubt for their daunting Challenge Cup final task against St Helens tomorrow.

Brad Drew, Stuart Donlan and Martin Aspinwall all trained yesterday, leaving Chris Thorman with his hamstring strain as the one remaining question mark for Twickenham. The Giants will reduce their squad to 18 today, but could give Thorman until an hour before the match to prove his fitness.

Two Huddersfield players have been included in the England squad for the Federation Shield tournament this autumn. Eorl Crabtree, who was in Great Britain's squad for the Tri-Nations last year, has been named, along with Kevin Brown. Those appearing at this level for the first time include the Wigan full-back Chris Ashton and Wakefield centre Ryan Atkins.

The Great Britain coach, Brian Noble, has not given up hope of talking Keiron Cunningham out of international retirement. The St Helens hooker announced this week that he would not be going to the Tri-Nations this year and would not play for Great Britain again.

Doncaster have appointed the Australian Keiran Dempsey as their new coach. Dempsey, from the Parramatta club which has produced so many coaches for the British game, takes over from Tony Miller.

Bradford have signed the Leeds and prop Chris Feather on a three-year contract starting next season.
