Morley poses main threat, says Jones

The New Zealand captain, Stacey Jones, has identified Adrian Morley as the key man for Great Britain in the forthcoming Test series.

Morley played for the Sydney Roosters side who beat Jones' New Zealand Warriors in the Australian Grand Final earlier this month and Jones believes he will also be a major danger at international level.

"Adrian was one of the best forwards in the competition this year," Jones said. "We've got our hands full trying to contain him."

The New Zealanders will today name their side to face England A at Brentford. The London Broncos have opened an extra stand at Griffin Park for the game tomorrow – the first time that has been necessary since they moved in at the start of the year.

Leigh have agreed a new one-year contract with their coach, Paul Terzis, despite telling him he would be out of work if they failed to win promotion to Super League.

Relegated Salford are set to lose Francis Maloney to Castleford, as well as Damian Gibson. Promoted Huddersfield have released their Australian second-rower, David Atkins.

Leeds have signed the young Wakefield prop Chris Feather on a four-year deal and have also agreed terms with Andrew Dunemann, who is joining them from Halifax.

Craig Poucher and Paul Parker are joining the exodus from Hull, who have recruited Dwayne West from St Helens, while Rochdale's Paul Smith has threatened to retire from the game because the club will not let him move to Saints without a transfer fee.

The Warrington centre Ben Westwood has been reprimanded after testing positive for ephedrine. The Rugby League said it was taking no further action because of extenuating circumstances and is thought to have accepted that Westwood consumed the substance inadvertently.
