Paul Dunne didn't even have a Wikipedia page before this weekend.

But thanks to his fantastic display at The Open, not only has he been installed on the world wide web's encyclopaedia, he's even had it altered by cheeky pranksters.

The Irishman shot a 66 in the third round at St Andrews to put him on -12 overall, giving himself a share of the lead prior to the final day of play.

During his exploits on the Old Course and with his name trending on Twitter, someone saw fit to create a Paul Dunne Wikipedia page. But soon after, someone else had thought it would be a bit of fun to alter it for comic effect.

The alteration suggests Dunne is "not a human, but a golfing machine created to rule the golfing world".

If he can back up his third round performance on Monday, that description might not be too far from the truth.
