Snooker: Williams wins on respotted black

Mark Williams won a remarkable Benson and Hedges Masters final at Wembley Conference Centre last night when he sank a respotted black to complete a 10-9 victory over Stephen Hendry.

When the Welshman trailed 56-34 in the decider, his comeback from 9-6 down looked to have been in vain, but he potted brown, blue, pink and black to tie the scores at 56-56. Eight shots later, he potted black again.
