The London Monarchs, of the World League of American Football, was renamed yesterday as the England Monarchs. After playing at Stamford Bridge last season they are to play three home games at Crystal Palace and two games outside London during the 1998 season. The cities and venues outside London will be named next week.

Terrell Davis ran for 171 yards and ended a decisive third quarter with a one-yard touchdown run as the Denver Broncos beat the New England Patriots 34-13 on Monday night in a game between the NFL's last two unbeaten teams.
