Age: 43

History: Formerly Stamford College.

Address: Stamford, Lincolnshire. Also has centres in Spalding, Sleaford and Grantham.

Vital statistics: Around 2,000 full-time and 6,000 part-time students mainly studying further education courses, with a small proportion following university level programmes. Higher education is validated by the University of Lincoln, Bishop Grosseteste University and the University of Northampton.

Added value: The college's £2.7m new build was opened in June 2011. The state-of-the-art building provides new social and recreational space alongside student support services, a bistro and a conference/lecture room.
