It was a great day to be Tommy Smith – if you were the one who plays for Queens Park Rangers and scored the winner at Everton. But not if you were the one at Ipswich Town – being sent off without touching the ball is not quite so heroic. Smith's red card a minute after coming on as a half-time substitute away to Peterbrough United turned a bad day for Ipswich into a absolute horror show as it reduced them to nine men and they lost 7-1.
