Must Listen: ‘After You’ - Pulp release James Murphy collaboration and their first new track in 10 years

Do you remember the first time? If you do, you're showing your age.

Believe it or not, Sheffield's finest was first formed back in 1978 and struggled to find success through the 80s, before becoming key - if reluctant - figures in the Britpop movement of the mid-90s. In recent years, Pulp's lead singer Jarvis Cocker has attained national treasure status with a much-loved radio show on 6 Music and a fondly remembered stage invasion during the Brits.

'After You', Pulp's latest - and first new song for ten years - was released on Christmas Day. As befits a collaboration with LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy it has a distinctly disco feel and as befits a song from one of Britain's greatest bands of all time, the lyrics manage to be at once both sexy and silly, mundane and magnificent.
