The nominations are in. So begins the betting, back-biting, barracking and ballyhoo. Up for Best picture are a record nine films: American Hustle, Captain Phillips, Dallas Buyers Club, Gravity, Her, Nebraska, Philomena, 12 Years a Slave and the Wolf of Wall Street.
