St Patrick's Day: Obama's got a Guinness...how will you be celebrating?
You've probably seen some green balloons and tall Guinness hats around, but did you know that English people are twice as likely to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day than St. George’s Day?
Today's Google Doodle is honouring the annual celebration in honor of Ireland's patron saint, Saint Patrick.
The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over 1,000 years, and today more than 40 international landmarks are being lit in green - including the pyramid, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the Sydney Opera House.
As Happy St Patrick's Day is trending on Twitter, here's what people are saying:
@MrJChrist Serving Guinness instead of wine in church today. Happy St Patricks day
@Lord_Sugar Good morning and a happy St Patricks day particularly to my Irish followers
