Hip Op-era? The London Philharmonic Orchestra, its future seemingly assured and (most of) its Arts Council funding intact, is in good shape. Unlike Klaus Tennstedt, the LPO's ailing conductor laureate, who has cancelled yet again. We wish him well, but the question remains: how much longer can the LPO go on selling seats on the basis of a maestro who never shows? . . .
