Saint Hoax, the creator of the 'Princest Diaries', wants to stop the sale of real fur

Bambi, Simba, Timon and some of Disney’s most loveable characters have been pictured skinned and dripping with blood in a campaign against the fur trade.

Saint Hoax, an anonymous artist based in the Middle East, drew the shocking pictures to highlight the fate of animals killed in the name of fashion.

The series of drawings called “Furry Tale Gone Bad” features characters from the Lion King, Bambi, 101 Dalmatians and Aladdin.

Each picture displays the message: “Animals are beaten, electrocuted or even skinned alive for their fur. Boycott fur.”

Saint Hoax said he hopes the spread of the images will make people think twice about buying real fur over the winter and reduce the demand leading to animals’ deaths.

“We're hoping that this will actually make significant change this winter season,” he added.

The artists’ previous works include the “Princest Diaries”, showing Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine from Aladdin and Ariel from The Little Mermaid being assaulted by their fathers.

The posters carried the statistic: “46 per cent of minors who are raped are the victims of family members. It’s never too late to report your attack.”

Saint Hoax told The Independent he was inspired to start the project when one of his closest friends told him she was molested by her father at just seven years old.

“It took her 14 years to be able to share that traumatising experience,” he added. “That story shock me to my core.”

He also famously created pictures of world leaders in drag for a campaign called “War Drags You Out”.
