Damien Hirst, according to Campaign, has signed with Tony Kaye Films with the intention of directing TV commercials. Says the artist: 'I don't think there's a big difference between what I've been doing and this.' . . . Death cigarettes are sponsoring Cinema Fumee, a new fortnightly rep cinema at the Brixton Academy from 5 August. Cigarette vendors will patrol the aisles, encouraging smokers to light up, the bar never closes, and a band plays in the intermission . . .
