From the author of On Your Potty] and Eat Your Dinner], these tales are a lot sweeter and less imperative than they sound. The drama is enacted between little bear Bartholomew and big bear George, who is a wonderful father figure, big and furry, peremptory and loving. The rhythm is immensely real, ' 'Come on Ba, into bed,' George said. 'Nah,' said Bartholomew,' and end up with a lot of cuddling, a sudden yawn, and sleep. Which might just convince children of the inevitability of obedience . . . or the lovely characters of bears.
