Best-selling American author Daniel Silva is due to write three new novels, announced publisher HarperCollins on September 16. The first book is scheduled for publication in summer 2011 and includes a "big surprise" for his fans, according to the author.
Silva, a former journalist and producer, made best-seller lists with his first novel, The Unlikely Spy, in 1997. In his fourth novel, The Kill Artist, he introduced the character of Gabriel Allon, an art restorer and legendary Israeli secret agent who would appear in his next nine titles, most recently 2010's T he Rembrandt Affair. The publisher did not reveal whether Allon would be the subject of the upcoming titles.
Silva's forthcoming novels will be published by HarperCollins, beginning with the first title in summer 2011. His previously novels have been translated into more than 30 languages.
