The best-selling author J K Rowling has vowed to continue writing and promised that her next published book would be for children.

The Harry Potter writer was talking to an audience at the Cheltenham Literature Festival on Saturday night when she told fans she had a "number of ideas on my laptop," but refused to reveal details of future projects. She said her next book would be for "younger children than the Harry Potter series".
