For a spectacular punning conjunction of sex and cricket, sample pages 583-4 of Finnegans Wake. Here comes everybody, indeed.

You might spend a lifetime diving into the folds of Joyce's last masterpiece. Should you choose to (or opt for a swifter dip), this edition is – thanks to editors Finn Fordham, Robbert-Jan Henkes and Erik Bindervoet – probably the handiest to use, now that the Joyce estate no longer polices copyright.

An epic tide of verbal ingenuity and historical vision flows before you... "riverrun, past Eve and Adam's from swerve of shore to bend of bay". So why not plunge in?
