CLUBS

The Christmas message of "Goodwill to all men" seems to have infiltrated the club world with a rise in events for good causes. Latin Christmas Party is one such event, promoted by Task Brazil, a registered charity dedicated to raising funds for the abandoned street children in Brazil. In addition to live performances, top Brazilian DJ Ze Indio will be serving up a mix of samba, salsa and lambada. Sun 7pm-12mdn't, Room 101, ULU (University London Union), Malet St, London WC1, pounds 5/pounds 3.50 students

The End plays host to the album launch party of World Sound Systems where donations of pounds 2.50 will be requested for Greenpeace instead of admission. Fans of techno and hard house will not be surprised to learn of Daniel Poole's association with the event. Mon 10pm-4am, The End, West Central St, off Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC1, pounds 2.50

Slowing the tempo, Soul'd Out offers funk for those who like their music on a rare groove tip. Boasting mellow visuals and a funk'n crowd this is the place to start your weekender. Fri 11.30pm-2am, Jazz Cafe, Parkway, London NW1, pounds 5/pounds 3 with flyer
