Defected make their first appearance at Pacha tonight, with the big guns in tow. Joey Negro (below) headlines an event that is guaranteed to be standing-room only. On any other night his supporting cast of Dimitri from Paris and CJ Mackintosh would take centre stage, but Joe Punter will not be complaining. Add Simon Dunmore and Soul Together to the list and you'll happily dip into your wallet.

The beats will swing from funky house to twisted disco in one of the UK's sexiest dance spaces. Pacha is synonymous with decadent clubbing - the outpost in Victoria is a baby compared to its Ibiza parent, but it is just as dedicated to fun.

Its split-level design creates a superb focal point of the main dancefloor, while the soft woods and plush aesthetic shows that plenty of thought, and mountains of cash, went into creating this Hedonistic retreat. Its sound system is truly fearsome, so don't linger too long beneath the bassbins.

This event is a one-off. There's no, "we'll go next week" option so take my warning seriously and "arrive early". Make an effort in the dress department, as the door pickers could eject a few hundred people tonight and Pacha will still be packed to the rafters.

Terminus Place, Victoria, London SW1 (020-7833 3139) tonight 10pm-6am, pounds 15-pounds 20
